Sign, Express, and Connect Through Music
Musical Hands is a unique program designed for adults with Down syndrome (ages 21+) to learn how to sign songs using American Sign Language (ASL). Through music and movement, participants develop communication skills, hand coordination, and self-expression in a fun, inclusive environment.
Music is for everyone! Whether signing along to favorite songs or learning new ones, this program fosters confidence, creativity, and connection.
Program Highlights
Learn ASL Through Music – Participants will learn to sign along to popular songs.
Encourages Self-Expression – Signing music allows participants to express themselves in a new, creative way.
Boosts Fine Motor Coordination – Helps strengthen hand and finger movements while following rhythm.
Social & Interactive – Participants engage with peers while learning together.
Led by Experienced Instructors – Sessions are guided by professionals who understand the needs of adults with Down syndrome.
Who Can Participate?
Open to adults with Down syndrome (ages 21+).
Must be a GSDSS member (membership is free).
